Government gave order for Old Pension Scheme restoration
For your kind information, the government of Gujarat issued an order restoring the old pension. Before the demand was finally made to be made by the employees, the Finance Department of the Gujarat government made the official announcement on the old pension. As per the edict, the employees who joined government service before April 1, 2005, will be eligible for the old pension. However, those whose appointment came after April 1, 2005, will not receive this benefit. It is, however, said by the experts that soon, the government will open up new beneficial schemes for employees added post-2005.
What Is Old Pension Scheme?
in case you don’t appear to know or realize little about the old pension scheme, let us inform you that under the old pension scheme, after the retirement of government employees, they receive a regular fixed pension at half of their last salary. which means that after the retirement of the employees, a fixed amount is received each month as pension which is based totally on their last salary. For your information, if the salary of a government employee was 30 thousand rupees, he will get half of it i.e. 15 thousand rupees after retirement.
