7th Pay Commission: Through our latest update, we got the information that the salary and dearness allowance of central employees will be increased and we would like to know the complete information about it.
Central employees under the Central Government are waiting for 8th Pay Commission. The 7th Pay Commission has completed a period of 10 years as it has been implemented in 2014. For the not aware of Pay Commission, it is the commission by the Central Government, which comes after every 10 years, and all the changes take place in salaries and dearness allowances.
The central employees are now expecting from the government that it will soon come out with an announcement regarding the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission, and as per experts, the Finance Ministry may declare in the new budget 2025-26 regarding the same. However, there are no official reports on this as of now, due to which becomes a matter of concern to the employees.
When Will 8th Pay Commission Be Implemented?
In fact, this pay commission came out on February 28, 2014, under the Manmohan Singh government. This pay commission got approved by the Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now, after having completed about 10 years for this pay commission, the new One-8th Pay Commission has not been constituted so far. This may also be because the 7th Pay Commission was effective as of January 1, 2016, and changes made in it took effect from July 1, 2016. Now a little information came forward which may indicate whether the government is working on forming a committee for the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission.
Question Asked In Parliament
The demand for setting up the 8th Pay Commission is already emanating from Rajya Sabha. Making a vague clear in writing, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said the commission would not be constituted. The minister said so at a time when the clamour for the formation of the Pay Commission had started mounting within various employees’ organisations.
