All of the government employees will get this new increase in the dear skin allowance (DA) for this new year. Indeed, it is known that as of now, employees are being paid 50 percent of what is meant by dearness. However, the dearness allowance will soon be raised by 3 percent to 53 percent, while employee beneficiaries will benefit from this news being told further.

All of you would know that under the 7th Pay Commission currently enjoyed by all government employees, dearness allowance was given as 50 percent, which is to be increased to 53 percent shortly. Employees are also demanding a hike of 25% in other allowances. Just so you know, on 01 January 2024, the number of allowances increased by 25 percent by 13; therefore, the employees got significant benefits from them. It is emerging that very soon, the central government may enhance the other 2 allowances.
Dress and nursing allowances will also increase
Dress and nursing are two allowances whose enhancement has been sought for several years. By the way, in September 2024, the proposal for an enhancement of dress and nursing allowance was approved in principle in the cabinet, but a final decision was not taken on the matter. But now the information is that the central government is likely to increase the dress and nursing allowance in January 2025.
Dress Allowances: When the dearness allowance was increased to 50% under the 7th Pay Commission, the dress allowance was also increased by 25%. So when dearness increases by 3%, similarly, the dress allowance will increase by 25%.
Nursing Allowances: Only nurses employed in government institutions including hospitals and dispensaries receive this nursing allowance. As per information, it is disclosed that in cabinet meeting recently, discussion has been made to enhance the nursing allowance, it is also being said that within few days, there might be an increase of 20% in the allowance.
