Whether 8th Pay Commission Will Be Applicable For Employees Or Not, See Details

8th Pay commission Update: Employees of Central government departments have been waiting for the new pay commission for many days. Meanwhile, discussion on the 8th Pay Commission has escalated recently. Most people believe that the Central Government will announce the formation of the 8th Pay Commission with the Union Budget 2025. However, some employees also think that instead of the 8th Pay Commission, the Central Government may launch some other scheme. In such a situation, the Central Government has recently given an update in which it has given a decision regarding the 8th Pay Commission.

Employees are demanding this-

The National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery (NC-JCM) has recommended that the fitment factor should be changed and improved to central officials for the 8th Pay Commission. The union demands that the fitment factor (8th pay commission) be stepped up to 2.86, as that would benefit a lot of employees. Given that, recently Finance Minister Pankaj Chaudhary made a clarification of many issues pertaining to the 8th Pay Commission.

Know when the 7th Pay Commission was issued-

The 7th Central Pay Commission was constituted by the Manmohan Singh government on 28 February 2014. The 7th Pay Commission was implemented in January 2016 (7th pay commission). Since then, the Central Government has been forming new Pay Commissions every 10 years. The 7th Commission is nearing the end of its 10-year tenure, and therefore employees are expecting the Central Government to probably bring forth the 8th Pay Commission at an early date.

Climbing debates of enhanced intensity among the employees-

With the announcement of the Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, there is lots of chatter among the employees. At this point, their expectation turned out to be the announcement regarding the formation of the 8th Pay Commission, but slightly different announcement from the government just increased the anxieties of the employees. Employees got even more disappointed with this announcement of the government.
